General Admission

Students in elementary and middle school may participate in our after-school Curriculum Enrichment program. The Curriculum Enrichment courses are offered per semester and the ages, dates, and fees vary per course.
Students in 4th and 5th grades may participate in our Elementary Intramurals program.

Students in middle school may participate in our competitive Athletics program. We offer our middle school students multiple interschool sports and compete as part of the Gold Coast League. Visit our Athletics page for complete details.

SRCS is currently accepting the following Scholarship Awards, provided by the State of Florida through Step Up For Students, but is subject to change in the future.
Florida Tax Credit (FTC)
Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES-EO)
Please note that SRCS does NOT accept the FES-UA Scholarships. Step Up is the only Scholarship Funding Organization we partner with. We do not accept any scholarship awarded through AAA.
The School Board of Spanish River Christian School makes a limited amount of institutional tuition assistance available for enrolled students in K-8. Applications for financial aid must be submitted to the Scholarship Committee by April 1.

We currently do not offer special programs to accommodate learning disabilities.

Our core curriculum for preschool through middle school consists of Math, Science, Social Studies, English, and Bible. Specials in preschool and elementary are Art, PE, Computer Lab, Spanish, Music, and Library.
An Enrichment rotation in middle school consists of Writing Workshop, Computers, and Physical Education for 6th and 7th grades. Eighth-grade students choose their enrichment from Spanish 1, Art, Physical Education, and Computers.
Combinations of classes can be chosen with the exception of Spanish 1, which is considered an honors class, and a student may earn high school credit. There is also an elective class period with choices such as Concert Band, Chorus, Chapel Band, and many others.
Preschool Admission

Children attending our three-year-old program must be three years old on or before September 1st of the new school year (no exceptions).
Children attending our four-year-old (PreK) program must be four years old on or before September 1st (no exceptions).

Yes, children must be fully independently potty trained before entering preschool. No diapers or pull-ups are allowed at any time.

No, there is no admissions testing for preschool.

For new sibling applicants from currently enrolled SRCS families, an Online Application and a $75 application fee must be submitted by January 17, 2024.
For new student applicants (Not current SRCS families), an Online Application and a $75 application fee must be submitted by January 26, 2024.
Once applications from currently enrolled SRCS families, active SRC member families, and new sibling applicants have been processed, new preschool applications will be considered.
There is no admissions testing for preschool applicants.
Birth Certificates for accepted students will be submitted during the enrollment process.
Kindergarten Admission

Children applying for Kindergarten must be five years old on or before September 1st of the new school year (no exceptions).

New kindergarten applicants to our school will be scheduled for a Kindergarten Readiness Screening after application submission.
Current SRCS Preschool students will be screened for Kindergarten Readiness in December.

For currently enrolled SRCS PreK students and new sibling applicants from currently enrolled SRCS families, an Online Application and $175 application fee must be submitted by January 17, 2024.
For new student applicants (NOT current SRCS families), an Online Application and $175 application fee must be submitted by January 26, 2024.

Contact information for a current teacher (required) and pastor (optional) will need to be entered at the time of online application, so requests for completing the online Confidential Teacher Recommendation (required) and Confidential Pastor Form (optional) can be emailed to the teacher and pastor, respectively.
Applicants will need to upload the following documents at the time of online application:
Most recent PreK Progress Report or Report Card (if applicable)
Educational/Diagnostic or Psychological Evaluation (if applicable)
Progress Reports or Report cards received after application submission can be emailed to our Admissions department at Admissions@SpanishRiver.com.
Kindergarten Readiness Screening will be scheduled subsequent to application.
Completed application files will be reviewed by our Admissions Committee.
Final applicants and their parents will meet with our Headmaster for a family interview.

Middle school applicants who have completed the admissions process / with completed admissions files may shadow for a morning.
This opportunity is scheduled via our Admissions department.

All middle school students will have the opportunity to earn high school credit for 9th grade Honors Algebra I in seventh or eighth grades.
Students who successfully complete 9th grade Algebra I in seventh grade will have the opportunity to earn high school credit for 10th grade Honors Geometry in eighth grade. Eighth-grade students will also have the opportunity to take high school Spanish I as an elective.
